Facility
Morrison Farm is located on 44 beautiful acres located in Tomball, TX. Our 20 stall barn features 2 air conditioned tack rooms, an air conditioned feed room, 4 wash bays with hot and cold water, a laundry room, as well as a top of the line security system throughout the barn. With 3 arenas and a large jump field there are plenty of riding areas for a change of scenery! Our staff, including the head trainer, Markie Morrison, lives on site and is available 24/7.
Our barn is very open, bright and the horses absolutely love it. 16 of our stalls have large open fronts so the horses can look out into the aisle as they please and each stall has it’s own window facing out with an awning. We also have 4 stalls with bars on the front openings and sliding doors for horses that need a more traditional and enclosed style of stall.
Daily and ample turn out is a very important to us here, which is easily provided to each horse with our 10 maintained pastures, including 1 stud pasture. We are proud to provide 8 hours a day to our horses that go out during the daytime from 8am to 4pm and 14 hours to our night turn out horses from 5pm to 7am, weather permitting. The majority of our horses go out in individual turn outs, but we understand that some horses need a pasture mate. We are happy to provide this at the limit of 1 carefully selected and introduced pasture buddy, but only with the owner’s request and approval.
We have a flat boarding/training fee that includes:
Daily Turnout (night or day)
Coastal and/or Alfalfa thrown 3 times a day
Grain and supplements fed up to 3 times a day
Nightcheck
Blanketing
Laundry Service
Seasonal Deworming
High velocity fans provided in each stall
Medication Administration
Icing, wrapping and hydro therapy as needed
Training Program
Morrison Farm offers a full training and board program for riders looking to start or that are already showing on the rated circuit. While it sometimes varies for different horses and riders based on their individual needs, typically our program includes three private lessons a week (2 jumping, 1 flat) and as many training rides as needed for a flat monthly price. Horses are not jumped more than 3 times per week with training rides included with a large focus on flat work and dressage to create and maintain a well balanced horse.
In order to keep the quality of training and services up to our standard we run a more boutique style program and keep the clientele to a limited size. Because of this, the barn is only accepting new clients that wish to join our show team at this time. While we do not have a lesson or beginner program, we typically have a couple of quality show horses available for an in barn lease.
